MCP Server
Your Job Search, Inside Your AI Assistant

The GigHQ MCP Server connects your AI assistant directly to your job search data — so you can track applications, analyze opportunities, and build your career story without switching tabs.
What Is the GigHQ MCP Server?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT securely connect to external tools and data. The GigHQ MCP Server makes your GigHQ account available as a live data source inside your AI conversations.
No copy-pasting. No context switching. Just natural conversation backed by your real data.
What You Can Do
Job Application Tracking
Ask your AI to show your recent applications, find a specific company, flag stale follow-ups, or create a new application — all without opening GigHQ.
Show me everything I have in progress and flag anything I haven’t touched in two weeks.
Skills Gap Analysis
Save a job description in GigHQ, then ask your AI to run a structured skills gap analysis. It will surface where you’re a strong match, where the gaps are, and how to frame each one in a cover letter or interview.
Do a skills gap analysis for the Stripe role I saved last week.
Company Research
Look up any company’s hiring trends, applicant volume, average time-to-decision by stage, and H1B sponsorship history — without leaving your conversation.
Does Airbnb sponsor H1B visas? And how long does their interview process typically take?
Weekly Job Search Summary
Get a plain-language health check on your pipeline: where applications are clustering, conversion rates by stage, your longest-open roles, and a suggested focus area for the week ahead.
Give me a summary of my job search this week.
Career Journal
Log achievements, projects, and milestones to your career journal as they happen — so when you need a resume, cover letter, or interview story, the raw material is already there.
Add an entry to my career journal: I led the migration to the new billing system, cut support tickets by 30%.

How It Works
Connect — Add the GigHQ MCP Server to your AI assistant using the URL https://mcp.gighq.ai/mcp
Authenticate — You’ll be redirected to your GigHQ account to authorize the connection. No passwords shared with your AI.
Use it — Start a conversation. Your AI now has live access to your job search data.
Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 — the same standard used by Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple. Your GigHQ credentials are never shared with your AI assistant.
FAQs
What is the URL for the MCP Server? Use this URL when configuring the GigHQ server in any MCP-compatible AI assistant: https://mcp.gighq.ai/mcp
Do I need a GigHQ account? Yes. The MCP server connects to your personal GigHQ data, so you need an account to use the authenticated tools. Company search and H1B lookup are available without authentication.
Is my data shared with the AI company? When you ask your AI a question, the relevant data from GigHQ is included in that conversation. Your data is handled according to your AI assistant’s privacy policy. GigHQ never sends your data proactively.
Which AI assistants are supported? Currently Claude (via claude.ai and Claude Desktop) and ChatGPT (via the desktop app). Any MCP-compatible client that supports Streamable HTTP transport will work.
Is this free? The MCP server is available to all GigHQ users at no additional cost.
